What is LVT flooring?
LVT flooring (luxury vinyl tile) is a cost-effective yet long-lasting option that replicates the look of natural materials like wood or stone. Perfect for kitchens, Amtico flooring is constructed from layers of PVC and resin, LVT is compressed under heat to form a tough surface that performs well in high-traffic areas.
The digitally printed aesthetic layer perfectly replicates the look of wood, stone or abstract tiles is mounted on strong backing layers made from 100% recycled materials. Protecting the aesthetic layer are two performance wear layers, the upper layer is finished with a grain or texture and impregnated with ceramic for slip resistance and durability. Signature flooring products also feature an additional Urethane treatment, adding further protection against everyday wear and tear.
Amtico vinyl flooring is also designed to repel water and bacteria, making it hygienic and easy to clean. As such, it is ideal for use in kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and any interior area of your home. Amtico flooring is also compatible with underfloor heating systems up to 27 degrees centigrade.

6. Is Amtico vinyl flooring slippery?
No. Amtico’s Safety flooring is designed to reduce the risk of slips and falls. It meets the BS EN 13845 Enhanced Slip Standard, offering excellent grip underfoot even in wet areas.
7. How do you clean and care for Amtico vinyl flooring?
Amtico LVT flooring needs minimal maintenance and is designed for everyday living. Sweep or dust mop regularly, and damp mop weekly, being careful to wring the mop out well. Wipe up spills as soon as possible or use Amtico Spillage Remover for tough stains.
For a deeper annual clean, apply Amtico Floorcare Stripper, followed by their Floorcare Dressing to restore and protect the surface. To help prevent scratches, it’s also worth adding felt pads to furniture legs – particularly on chairs that are moved regularly.
